About The Self Session
At The Self Session, we provide a safe and nurturing sanctuary for you to explore what's going on for you, through short or long term therapy (50 min sessions), or with our unique, one-off, 90-minute session, known as single session therapy (SST).

We are fully qualified and insured BACP therapists, based in Deal, Kent, offering our Self Session space for one-to-one connection, allowing yourself time to catch a breath, talk through any pressing issues or difficult life experiences you may be experiencing and any emotions, troubles, barriers and blocks you may be coming up against.

We encourage you to fully immerse yourself within the space and take the time to explore your thoughts and feelings, and in turn, reduce depression, anxiety, low mood and awaken, helping to restore a more positive outlook.

Our Approach
The Self Session approach
Your Self Session focuses on the health of your mind, working with counselling modalities that allow you to have space to feel heard and seen, whilst exploring and processing your thoughts and experiences.

The session will open with a discussion around expectations, confidentiality and goals and will lead naturally into a session that is dictated by your pace.
​
If you book a signature Self Session you will have the opportunity to choose the sensory options that you wish to have available to you during your session. You will also be offered an optional ten minute meditation / grounding exercise toward the end of your session, which will enable you to relax and regulate before entering back into the real world.
